Rhonda has been singing since she was 5 years old. She was active as a youth performing in school choirs, and churches. Later she progressed on to college where she was involved with college musicals, travel choir, and local productions.
Following graduation, she became a worship leader for 10 years with a mega-church before performing with local bands. She has been in From The Edge for 8 years. She is affectionately called "triple lung" by her bandmates and has been called the "harmonizer" by her ability to harmonize with anyone.
However several other events in her life led her to sing professionally. "I have always been around musical people and come from a musical family background. My mother used to take me as a child to hear one musical group after another and it made a huge impression. It's always been a part of my life," she smiled thoughtfully.
When asked who were some of her biggest musical influences Rhonda replied, "My biggest influences mainly come from female singers with bold strong voices and there are too many to just name. Some names that come to mind are Adele, Reba, Whitney, Miranda, Lady Gaga, etc I love good ole southern gospel music that has a taste of soul and let's not forget the music/artistry of Stevie Nicks."
In her spare time, you will find Rhonda teaching Spanish and globe-trotting. She is a world traveler and still has a long bucket list of places she wishes to visit in the future!
